About the Author

S. Hambs is a fictional author name and the name I have applied to this blog and to the connection of the books I have written; The Experiment with X and The Aftermath of X, with plans of more in the future.

S. Hambs was created after my small family;

The name includes my four dog fur babies, my husband, and mine;

S - Sugar

H - Hunter

A - Amber

M - Matthew

B - Bella

S - Spice

My fur babies are my world and mean everything to me. They are very spoilt and just like kids. Sugar and Spice were dropped off at a church and lived alone in that parking lot for a week until I was told about them during my college Thanksgiving Break in 2013. Spice came to me directly wanting attention, but Sugar was more stand offish and had to be bribed with food to get into my arms. After an hour and a half drive to my moms I bathe them and bonded with them immediately forming a connection. After the break was over I took them back with me to the camper I was living in at the time. They are moody, loud, and sporadically energetic at times, taking after me and they were with me during times I felt alone filling me with love and company and now I do not know what I would do without them. The love they show me as they get so happy when I come home in the evenings and the cuddly hugs they give me when they are tired or begging for food crumbs off my shirt are what I look forward to each day. Then me and my husband were given Hunter and Bella, two years apart, from a lady in the area. She had rescued Hunter from a different state and then Bella was born and she could no longer take care of either of them and was finding ways to get rid of them so we took them in at our home with us. At the time of getting Hunter he was constantly trying to get into our fenced in yard before becoming ours. He would bring his food bowl to our gate to eat and then dig under the fence to get in instead of getting out. He chased my husband Matthew everywhere as he rode on his dirt bike or four wheeler along the dirt roads. He immediately became attached to us and is a big furry baby who will sit in your lap thinking he is as tiny as Sugar and Spice and allowed in your lap and loves to sit on a table or chair at the windows so he can peer in at us as he hears us inside. Then he loves to howl every night with the coyotes within the woods requesting Sugar and Spice to join in together. Then Bella, sweet playful Bella. She was very scared of everything and still can be, and loves to constantly bark at our neighbors across the street or the cats as they walk down the driveway. You pick up anything and she is at your side in a second to take it from you and chew on it. She to thinks she is tiny even being a chunky monkey and plops down in your lap if you sit down. Then last but not least my husband. He is extremely supportive and every time I doubt myself, he is there to push me to finish my stories and publish them, whether others like them or not or even with negative comments from myself. Even when it does not come to my book writing he supports me through everything else and believes I can accomplish anything I set my mind to and that I am strong enough to do so. Reminding me to push through the insecurities and make up for the lack of positive thinking.

Now that is a little about me and how I came to finally publishing this blog and books, what is something about you?

I am so proud of my grand daughter! She married into our family and I have tried to treat her as if she had been born into it! She is a very strong young lady determined to do her kind of thing! Love her big bunches and so happy for her!
