Anything + Camo = Awesome

For some reason when you are a kid other kids like to ask you what is your favorite color. I guess a get to know you type of question and my answer always raised eyebrows...

Camo.

A lot did not want to accept my answer due to it was not a "True Color" but a mixture of colors. I cannot tell you how many times I was told you cannot choose camo or camo is not a color you have to have another favorite.

Not that anyone was being mean, just correcting me.

I would just argue back stating it was a color to me and it was going to be my number one favorite color.

Still is. I continue to keep and buy and get gifts that are camo. Such as wine glasses, coffee mugs/thermos, decoration items, and then clothes of course. On a boat tour for Florida's bayous I was given the option to choose between two cozies as an award for answering questions and being involved and it was between a bright pink logoed one or a camo one. Of course I chose the camo one. I even tried to make a décor piece to look camo using brown items with dark green and tannish flowers.

But just to prove how much I loved camo especially when I was younger let me tell you something...

Most of my child hood me and my twin sister shared a room, when we moved in with my stepdad we did get our own room but in turn still ended up sleeping in the same room most nights during a week I guess just because we were used to it. Later on my mom and stepdad bought a house together and once we moved there we again were able to have our own rooms and this time were told we could paint the walls and set them up however we wanted to, to make them really ours.

Can you guess the theme of mine?

Yep, camo. I had brown walls with camo border, camo blind as curtains, camo comforter, camo ceiling fan blinds. I even used the leftover camo border to wrap a small trash can.

During homecoming high school weeks there was always a day I looked forward to, Camo Day. I would deck myself out in all things camo; a camo shirt, pants, hat, socks, boots. I had a pair of rubber rain boots that were camo and I wore everywhere. I wore them to the point they started falling apart and ripping. I eventually had to retire them and could no longer wear them.

But just to prove how much I love camo especially when I was younger let me tell you something...nt like a mix such as camo or tie dye?
