Hidden Treasures

What comes to mind as you read the the title to this blog?

Underwater pirate treasure? Old photos found in the attic of your parents home that have been passed down from generation to generation?

To me by hidden treasures I mean hidden wonders of the world. Places forgotton or not even know about.

I have lived less then two hours from Beaumont, TX and never knew of their bitanical gardens along with a memorial for 9/11 (fitting and tying in for today). A marble replica stands tall of the two towers and its surrounding buildings along with words of remembrance and even a german sheperd dog statue in honor to the canine family that was along side the officers in aide.

The gardens were paths between plants of all sorts and flowers of beauty. Many banana spiders with huge webs of maginificient built. Marshland with gators living underneath the dock to the middle of the water.

A place we would have never found if it were not to wasting time waiting on some new tires being placed onto our vehicle.

Another hidden treasure we stumbled upon was a quaint BNB getaway where a couple has set up a few cabins in the woods outside a bustling rodeo town in Texas. Looking to just step out of our lives for a few days me and my husband retreated to a log cabin meant to represent some of the first ones built with the pot belly stoves and creaky wooden stairs to the loft above and little lighting from lantern type light fixtures.

Very secluded with the other themed styled cabins down other wooded trails barriers of trees between us all.

Not only are these hidden treasures were the ones I have located but me and my sister found many on our twin trip in Georgia on back roads. That is also how me and my husband has found a drive thru safari and old shops to stop at in our of state trip driving.

Hidden treasures are every where just at times we have to remember to step back and take a breather and take another route that may lead us to something we have never expected.
