Let's Go Paint Balling

In my childhood I went to laser tag once and besides this I have never played an actual game where I am shot at. Well, except for nerf wars too. Besides this though nothing. I may have played quite a few shooting video games in my days and hunt and even then I am not in the cross arrows directly. Well, just a few months ago I took the chance to “WATCH” my husband play paint ball. Again, not part of it. Honestly, probably out of fear. I have no interest to be shot at or bruised from a barreling paint ball in my direction. I would love to get out there and run around and slide behind a barrel in defense shooting at others. But nothing shot at me in return.

I will have to say though, it was fun watching others do it.

The place we went to, had several large arenas set up of different kinds where there was a sniper’s hill in the woods and an old western town alongside a castle teams had to hold defense against. It was rather cool.

I watched my husband and his brother play and they were like big kids out on the field running around and holding their ground. It was definitely pretty entertaining. Not only this but watched others playing near by arenas and seeing the different group dynamics to go from one end to the other taking on the opposing team.

During this time I wore the face mask of protection to get closer looks and realized I would not be able to play in these things. They squashed my glasses against my face and fogged up with each breath. Another reason to just be an observer.

Not only I attended but my sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and three nieces did too. They all had enjoyed it and my nieces were fun to watch and listen to as they yelled at their dad trying to tell him where to go and what to do.

Afterwards, my husband mentioned he had a blast, but I will say this is not my thing for the future. At least not any time soon. Maybe I will change my mind, but right now I like just watching the activity and can see why others would enjoy it.
