As I have mentioned in many post before I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. I have many collectors items and one day hope to visit Universal Studios to be a part of this large event. Well, thanks to the newly released video game, Hogwarts Legacy, I feel I am a step closer.
It has been a very neat open world experience to create a life as a wizard and play along inside the castle I grew up watching in movies and learning about. Not only this but the hints and mentions to many things referenced from those stories I grew attached to. What is funny is playing the game made me want to watch the movies and watching the movies makes me want to play the game, so I wanted to do both at once. Have one playing in the background while playing my own. Not only this but to continue to work on this large puzzle my sister gifted to me and my husband at Christmas. A Harry Potter Hogwarts puzzle that is taking quite some time to put together.
I wanted to share my experience because despite the outlook on video games by others, the times I can sit down and play them hours do run by but it is a time to unwind and I am okay with that. The scenes were just incredibly made and the interaction with the beasts is a neat experience to me. A way to escape just as books are for some. There has never really been a game like this for Harry Potter and I am glad they have made one.
The creators put so much work into it to have everyone have their own experience and changed it up for each person depending on the house sorted into or choices you choose. A lot of work for one thing.
Now I understand I cannot spend all my time on video games nor can others and that is okay! What makes me happy is knowing I have this game there for when I can make that time to sit and play it. And in all honestly, I do not want to rush the experience but take it all in. Do all the exploring I can because in actuality I believe it would be so cool to live in a world like that.
I am sure we all have moments like that. Don’t we?
I mean, what would your video game of choice be to immerse into?
