Pawsmas🐾

Updated: Feb 5, 2021

I will admit my fur children are spoilt. They have their own stockings and they all got wrapped gifts this year and years before to tear into on Christmas. For Hunter's first Christmas with us, Sugar, and Spice we made ornaments out of their own paws we molded with a homemade type of dough. Since Bella has joined the pack we are due to making her one as well.

Out of the four dogs Spice loves to tear into wrapping or tissue paper. While wrapping gifts just hearing the noise of the paper as I fold and cut it Spice immediately starts to paw it thinking everything is meant for her. I think that is her favorite part of their gifts considering she continues to tear at the paper even once the dog toy has emerged and fallen out. Sugar is a bit more gentle and cannot as easily get into her gifts as Spice can and Hunter just wants to carry it around wrapped and all chewing at it making the toy squeak through the wrappings.

This year Hunter grabbed his entire stocking from my hand and tried to run off with it with all the treats and bones inside. No our cats did not get left out, but they do not enjoy the gifts much like our dogs. They have their own stocking as well and it was filled with squeaky cat nip mice and small treats. They showed interest in the mice for a short bit pushing them around the porch and on to the ground leaving them there while they take or treat or two and then lose interest altogether and go back to whatever they were doing before.

So all in all our furbabies had a great pawsmas and enjoy the holidays just as much as we do.

What about your furcritters?

Do they have holiday fun as well?
