Saturday Plans

This past Saturday me and my husband had a full day of plans.

We started early by driving a few hours away to have brunch with some of my husbands family and friends where II had a stack of coffee pancakes to go with my coffee. From there we went to an Air Show. An air show of jets and older model planes and stunt pilots reenacting Pearl Harbor while doing twisty round abouts in the air, but before we could park we were in miles long traffic in which lasted about 45 min to an hour but we quite enjoyed it still as me, my husband, and mother in law peered out through the truck windows at the older homes on base and how well the landscape looked and was taken care of. Once we finally made it to the parking area near the landing strip we followed as the officers waved us to the front. After being an hour past the starting of the show we were able to start a new row of parking and got front row seats with only two things between us and all the planes, the concrete blocks and orange fencing. Exciting for my nieces as they were able to see the pilots drive by and given the chance to wave at them. We could even feel the heat from the pyrotechnics fire that were set up when they went off. After staying for an hour and half me and my husband had to head out early and drive another hour for a congratulating party for a best friend of mine. She has been working so hard to better her future and finally came a step closer and indeed needed this. Fortunately for me her sisters were there early helping me set up things due to my lack of decorations and they had extra and with my friends fiancé stalling her the best he could as we were putting finishing touches together at her restaurant of choice. Once they arrived and time passed with much eating and laughter my husband and her fiancé held up a golden diamond piñata with hanging silver streamers by hand with rope for her to swing at with a plastic bat her fiancé picked up. It was so much fun watching her swing at it thinking it would not break until finally it fell apart and her nieces and nephew ran about picking up fallen candy. Then it ended by cutting cake for all those there and after passing the pieces out finally getting to sit down and enjoy it myself and yes it was delicious! The lady that made this cake also made my wedding cake in which at our wedding we didn't even get a chance to eat any except the fork full of what we fed each other for pictures so this occasion I was glad to cut myself a big piece to devour. My friends sister unsure of its taste did not want extra until it was to late and given all away cause after trying it wanted a lot more to take home and could not. It was vanilla with a cream filling in the middle and goldish black white icing to match the gold and black and white theme.

Are you thinking this night is over yet?

Not quite.

We still had a few stops before making it home for the night, but all in all a great Saturday was completed for the memory books.

Have you ever been to an air show?

Or hit at a party piñata?

If not you should definitely try to make the plans for it. It may be loud near those jets but a neat site and I have heard swinging at something even if it is a piñata releases a lot of built up anger

😉😁
