Sleep, where are you?

I do not know about you, but I know I have the toughest time falling asleep and/or staying asleep. I know it is my mind, it is constantly on the go. Whether its writing a story and needing to jot down ideas, or replaying scenes from the day I just lived wondering if something should had been done differently, or making sure I remembered to do something or do not forget to do something tomorrow. Whatever the case my mind does not like to sleep even though it should. I have tried listening to my soothing sounds app, but then I continue to stay awake because I like listening to the flowing creek in a jungle or the pounding thunder with rain on the roof or just a campfire with crickets chirping in the background, so that was cut out. And music just keeps me up due to I want to sing to it and whether leaving a light on or wearing an eye mask staying in complete darkness this too hinders the ability to sleep.


My dogs make it look so easy as they like to sleep in whatever position on whatever there is to lay on drooling over me. Must be nice.



Now do not get me wrong I will have a few nights a week where I can sleep like a rock the entire night and when its storming outside I sleep so much better, but lack of sleep has followed me since childhood so it is no biggie by now.

And I know, this blog was short, sweet, and to the point but just one of those ideas that came to mind in that moment of trying to sleep, but could.


So, I just want to ask you,
