Home of Texas Country Living!
It did not come naturally to include Texas into my trip around the US blogs because Texas is where I was raised and continue living so what would I say about it?
Well there is much to say about it and much of Texas I have yet to see and many places tourist come and see from other states, so of course it counts as a type of trip blog!
I cannot begin to say where to visit in Texas. You have the Fort Worth Stockyards, San Antonio Alamo, trails through our wooded natural country, the lakes of bountiful fishing and swimming, and more.
The stockyards which I visited recently thanks to my stepdad and mom take you back to what it possibly could have been like walking through a deserted town in the olden western days as you see old traintracks with means of traveling by the first trains, saloons, sheriffs on houseback, trail rides, and much more.
When it comes to San Antonio so much history can be seen and read. The alamo being a place of a major historical battle and a place many visit in and outside of Texas. The shops and entertainment that surround it along side the riverwalk of beauty.
We also cannot forget about the many water parks and thrill rides Texas has such as Six Flags in Arlington and Sea World in Galveston just to name a few.
Last but not least then Texas has the vastness of wilderness that surrounds its country living. The incredible AWE from a sunrise or sunset gleaming between pine trees or over the field of cattle raising. The sports events of fishing and hunting. Laying in patches of wild flowers and fresh cut grass looking up at the night sky that can clearly be seen or clouds as they stray by.
Yes Texas can be quite wonderful in its own special way with its down home country roots full of history and generations of respect and country hospitality.
What is your thoughts on Texas?
